Car Booty

October 2008

Dont knock it till you try it, thats what I say. Doing a car boot sale was surprisingly fun and we were so successful on the Saturday morning that we loaded up again on Sunday to try another venue.

Its amazing what you can sell and even more amazing that people will try and bargain you down from 20 pence!

No word of a lie, our stall was one of the most popular on the stretch..we feel that was down to a constant re-arrangement of goods to ensure an attractive and accessible viewing/purchase area and quite possibly having such a strapping young man behind the counter!

I'm afraid he did get rather attached to that bum bag/money belt.

Show me the money baby...not a bad mornings work...

and only right that the early morning and effort should be rewarded with a big fat 99!

Durdle Door

September 2008

Making the most of the van we took a long weekend in Dorset at Durdle Door. A decent site in a really lovely part of the world.

Weather was still great and we were able to take a hike across the top of the hills and even have lunch down on the beach and day dream about having one of those boats to sail away in. Managed a paddle but not a swim because christ the water was cold!

BBQ

September 2008

Just time to squeeze in a last BBQ before the weather gets too cold.

Howell, Bel and Wee Man tucking in.

The future Mr & Mrs Jones.

Mark (just back from a 6 month bike tour and making us very envious and keen to travel again) and Mel.

Yes, of course day merged into night, the drink continued to flow, everyone went home apart from Howell and Bel and a unique ear muff design was created to keep out the cold; more detail than that I simply cannot share.

London 2012 Olympic Handover Party

August 2008

We were lucky enough to get 2 tickets to the Olympic party.

Quite a display by the red arrows, a personal favourite of mine since seeing them at Aerospace every year as a kid

Pall Mall crowds.

Stage was placed just outside Buck palace, some decent music suprisingly; the likes of The Feeling, James Morrison, Heather Small & the cast of We Will Rock You. We did have to queue an awful long time for our ice cream though!

Stratford Upon Avon Race Day

August 2008

Turned out to be a bargain of a day...the campsite is in the racecourse itself and you get free entry to the races. Add to this a couple of wins, a couple of beers and the obligatory crap hot dog and you have the makings of a great day and 2 very happy campers!

Probably my winning horse romping home...

and Cheds losing horse bringing up the rear.

Havent a clue what it was but clearly bloody funny.

Warwick

August 2008

A weekend away in the Lunar found us in Warwick.

A stroll around the town led us to the castle...

We were content to enjoy the views from a distance since it cost 'how much!' to get in the place.

A very pretty town though and a nice day out.

Michaela and Nigel's Wedding in Cyprus

July 2008

Andrews sister, Michaela, got married to Nigel out in Cyprus.

Best man, Ian, doing his duty.

Proud mum and dad (Christine & Derek)

Michaela and Nigel with the bridesmades, Amy & Charlotte, and Ryan as page boy.

Andrew with his sister, Nicola...

And mum.

After a BBQ there was plenty of disco dancing, beautifully demonstrated by Uncle Frankie!

We did have a 2 week holiday seeing as we were out there, and we did very little other than sunbathe, swim...
and eat and drink!
